Lebanon, N.H. — Kristi Kistler, 67, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 25, 2013.
She was born in Northampton, Pa., on July 11, 1946, to the late Perry & Charlotte (Chaffee) Kistler. She attended elementary and high school in Cortland, N.Y., graduating from SUNY at Cortland in 1968. Following graduation she moved to the Upper Valley and began her long career at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital. She finished her active work life at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in the office of care management where she was the Medicaid specialist for Vt. & N.H. Kristi was loved and respected by all who met her for her ability to recognize and honor the worth of each individual. We will long remember her unique warmth and compassion.
Kristi was predeceased by her husband Charles Drake on November 26, 2011.
Kristi is survived by her step daughters, Ziven Drake, currently serving with the Vt. Air National Guard, and Farrell Drake, of Los Angeles, Calif; a sister, Heidi Kistler, of Walworth, N.Y.; a close cousin, Cynthia Austin Zimmerman, of Indian Lake, N.Y.; her three sister in laws, Judy Gothreau, Susan Johnson and Elizabeth Pickford; and dear friend Jenny Littlewood, of Orford, N.H.
Family and friends are invited to the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Friday, August 30, 2013, for memorial calling hours beginning at 11 a.m., with a memorial service at the funeral home beginning at noon and burial to follow in the West Lebanon Cemetery.
