He was born Jan. 5, 1955, in Woodsville, N.H. the son of John and Freda (Kidder) Kingsbury. They lived in Bradford, Vt., for his first 13 years before moving to Wilder in 1968. Steven graduated from Hartford High School in 1974 and following graduation was employed in the Hartford School District as a custodian where he worked for the next 16 years. He was a true Vermonter and loved the outdoors. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, ice fishing, wood working and four-wheeling. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a member and very active with the 4-Wheeler Club out of Bradford. He was also a long time member of the National Rifle Association. Steve absolutely loved to dance. He was friendly and fun, always willing to give you the shirt off his back, two of his many characteristics that made it easy for Steve to make the countless friends he had acquired over the years.
