High Horses Receives $25,000 Grant

Wilder — High Horses Therapeutic Riding Program at Brookside Farm has received a grant of $25,000 for operational support from the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation.

The money supports High Horses’ overall mission to improve the well-being of people with special needs through a “therapeutic equine experience,” the nonprofit said in a recent news release. “An award of this nature allows High Horses to focus on running and improving … programs,” the release said, allowing flexibility to respond to emerging community needs, such as PTSD, helping support the organization’s horses and allowing for innovative and creative approaches to serving the Upper Valley. — Staff report
