Lois E. Barton
Claremont, N.H. — Lois E. Barton, 80, of East Street in Claremont died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Claremont on Nov. 28, 1932, the daughter of Louis, Sr. and Gertrude (Donovan ) Lemieux and had been a lifetime Claremont resident.
Lois had been employed in the housekeeping services at both Valley Regional Hospital and Sullivan County Healthcare. She enjoyed cooking but first and foremost her family was the most important thing in her life. She was the widow of Richard W. Barton, Sr. whom she married on Sept. 5, 1953, he died on July 10, 1992.
Members of her family include a son, David Barton and his wife, Debra, Claremont; three daughters, Cindy-Lou St. Aubin and her husband, Ron, Claremont, Nancy Ueda and her husband, Bruce, Salem, NH, Sandy Dansereau and her husband, Bimbo, Claremont; a brother, Leon Lemieux, Cornish, N.H.; two sisters, Lucille Richards, Claremont, Karen Howard and her husband, Rick, Unity, N.H.; seven grandchildren, Kelly Genes, Kristina Silver, Andrew St. Aubin, Brock Ueda, Kyle Dansereau, Adam Barton, Benjamin St. Aubin; two great-grandchildren, Devin Genes, Brooke Ueda; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Barton and a brother, Louis Lemieux, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. on Thursday at the Roy Funeral Home with Father Michael Monette, pastor of St. Patrick’s Parish in Newport, N.H., officiating. Graveside committal services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday in Union Cemetery, Claremont.
