Power Restored After Storms
Rutland — Vermont’s largest utility said it has restored power to more than 42,000 customers following a series of powerful storms that knocked out electricity through much of the state last week.
But Green Mountain Power said more storms knocked out service early Saturday morning.
The utility now has about 900 without service.
Much of the bad weather earlier in the week happened Wednesday. More storms Thursday afternoon caused a couple of thousand new outages.
Crews from out of state assisted.
Areas that had the most damage include Springfield, Royalton and Rutland.
