Around the Remote: Television Picks for the Week of July 6-12

Don’t Miss

Extant — If Sandra Bullock can rocket off into outer space, why not Halle Berry? In this suspenseful, futuristic “event” series, the Oscar-winner plays an astronaut, who after a 13-month solo mission, struggles to reconnect with her family, which includes a creepy little robot boy. But there’s a bigger problem: While in space, she somehow became pregnant. Uh-oh. Baby (or alien?) on board. 9 p.m. Wednesday, CBS.
