Gloria H. St. Peter

White River Junction, Vt. — Gloria H. St. Peter, 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

She was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Pitcairn, N.Y. one of 13 children of Clifton and Albertine (Hathway) Weaver. She attended school in Harrisville, N.Y. She worked for a time in various mills in the area. Gloria was married to Joseph “Mait” St. Peter May 3, 1945, in Harrisville, N.Y. where they lived until moving to White River Junction in 1962. Shortly thereafter she went to work as a nurse’s aide at the Brookside Nursing Home where she worked for many years, and was known to have taken patients home for dinner from time to time. They then moved to Sharon in 1971 where she worked at the Sharon Trading Post until moving back to White River Junction in 1984 where she has lived since. Gloria was also well known for her in home childcare that she provided over the years.

Gloria enjoyed crafts including knitting and ceramics; watching movies, reading, golf, and baseball. She had a special place in her heart for children’s birthdays, Christmas, and Halloween. Her greatest joy in life was her family especially her grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her beloved Husband, Mait St. Peter; three sons, Randy, Mark and Michael St. Peter; and seven siblings.

Gloria is survived by a son, Rick St. Peter of Strafford, Vt.; a daughter, Cheryl Oreshack of Holly Springs, N.C.; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, Vt. has been entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be expressed to Gloria’s family at
