CLAREMONT — A $65,731 grant will fund two recovery coaches in the Valley Regional Hospital emergency department.

The program, which will assist people with substance abuse, addiction issues and related behavioral health needs, will enable VRH to work with the Center for Recovery Resources in Claremont, which will provide recovery coaches trained to help connect patients with various resources and to talk with them through various stages of their recovery.

The grant was announced in a news release this week from Valley Regional Healthcare, the parent company of the Claremont hospital.
