BRADFORD, Vt. — Voters Monday evening approved a $21 million budget for the Oxbow Unified Union School District, 110-58.

The district includes Newbury, Vt. and Bradford elementary schools, Oxbow High School and the River Bend Technical Center.

Incumbents Maegan Ballou, of Bradford, and Carol Cottrell, of Newbury, were reelected to three-year terms on the School Board without opposition.

The budget approved Monday night is a 14% increase over last year, primarily due to salary increases and a spike in health care costs, School Board Chairwoman Danielle Corti said last week.
