Patricia Louise (Dulac) Henry

Lebanon, N.H. — Patricia Louise (Dulac) Henry, 83, died peacefully Monday, March 3, 2014, at Brookside Nursing Home surrounded by her children after living many years with Parkinson’s disease. Pat was born in Lebanon on April 6, 1930, the daughter of Peter J. and Lucina A. (Dion) Dulac. She was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School. Pat graduated from Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing in Boston, Mass. in 1951 with a nursing diploma.

On Sept. 20, 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Francis J. “Punky” Henry. Pat started her nursing career at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital and also worked at Dulac’s Nursing Home until they closed. During her life long career at MHMH she became a nursing supervisor and was employed in nursing administration until her retirement of 40 years in 1991. She was a member of The Catholic Daughters, a Communicant, Eucharistic Minister and Religious Education Teacher at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon.

In her retirement Pat and Punky wintered in their Ft. Myers home in Florida serving as a vacation home for family visits. She was an avid reader, committed Jeopardy fan, completed the New York Times crossword puzzles in ink and active with her LHS alumni. She treasured spending time with her family and attended many of her grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her four children: a daughter, Louise A. Stark and husband, Gregg of Grantham, N.H., a son, Brett F. Henry and fiancée Theresa DePalo of Enfield, N.H., twin daughters, Nora J. Tilton and husband, Brian of Grantham, and Joan H. Townsend and husband, Mike of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren: Jonathan Stark, Justin Stark, Matthew Henry, Christopher Henry, Sarah Henry, Garrett Tilton, Conner Tilton, Madison Tilton, Brooke Townsend, Samantha Townsend, Rachael Townsend and Hugh Townsend; two great grandchildren: Nathan Stark and Lindsey Stark; one sister, Deanna A. (Dulac) Monica of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband and by a son, Keith A. Henry.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ricker’s Funeral Home, 56 School Street in Lebanon. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
