Letter: A Quick Fix for Route 4

To the Editor:

As a quick, temporary improvement of Route 4 between White River Junction and Woodstock, has anyone at the Vermont Agency of Transportation thought of simply painting the center and side lines? At the present time, the lines are totally obliterated on all the curves, and almost all the lines anywhere are invisible at night in the rain. Rumble strips are a good idea, but we know that won’t happen any time soon. Two days’ work might save a life!
