Unity — In his nearly 86 years, it seems Willard Hathaway knew little else but hard work. Some may curse a life of toil, but for Hathaway it was his greatest blessing and joy after his wife and family. “Even though every day was a work day, they came at it with promise and possibilities,” daughter Barbara said about her father and mother at a memorial service for Hathaway in the South Congregational Church in Newport in May.
