Tax Preparers Needed
West Lebanon — Volunteers are needed to help low and moderate income people file their taxes through Granite United Way’s volunteer income tax assistance program. The program offers free income tax preparation services to working people with household incomes of $52,000 or less.
Volunteers should have basic computer skills and a willingness to help, the agency said in a recent news release. “As long as you are not “math-phobic” you can assist in a very gratifying way.”
Intake volunteers are also needed to ensure tax filers have the necessary documents and to have conversations, where appropriate, about financial education and saving programs. The preparation sites are located in the Upper Valley and throughout New Hampshire, including Salem, Manchester, Concord, Franklin, Littleton and Laconia.
