Richard J. Louzier, Sr.

Hanover, N.H. — Richard J. Louzier, Sr., 80 of Hanover, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1932 in Lebanon, the son of the late Lorenzo and Olive (Covell) Louzier. Richard graduated from Lebanon High school in 1950.

Mr. Louzier worked as a supervisor for Health-Tex Inc and previously he worked at H.W. Carter and Son.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was very proud of training his own bird dog and was an avid fly tier. Richard loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Surviving family members include his wife of 62 years, Janet (Griswold) Louzier of Hanover; three children, Sharyn Solomon and her husband, Brad of Kansas City, Kan., Patricia Frankenfield and her husband, Jeryl of Hanover, and Richard Louzier, Jr. and his wife, Linda of White River Junction, Vt.; six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Louzier, Sr. and his wife, Joan of Lebanon; sister, Claire Louzier of Saco, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine Nordgren of Long Beach, Calif.

Per his wishes there will be a private family gathering. The family would like to thank Dr. Robb for his kind and compassionate care that he provided to Richard and the family.
