Canaan, N.H. — James Louis Hanlon (Jim) passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at the home of his brother Steve. Born July 16, 1958, in Exeter, N.H. Jim grew up in and attended school in Hanover. After school, he worked for many local restaurants. Jim chose to live a untraditional life, being transient for 30 years. He was known (famously) for walking on Rte. 120 and Rte. 4, from Hanover to Enfield and back again. We wish to thank everyone who, was kind and generous and gave Jim a ride in the rain, a few bucks, a meal, and a warm place to stay. And for respecting his choice to live a unique lifestyle.
