Letter: Hearing Aids’ Cost Is a Concern

To the Editor:

I read with interest the March 17 article titled “Hearing Specialists Seeing Growth,” but was very disappointed that it did not address how people with hearing loss pay for their hearing aids, which can cost thousands of dollars. This is a chief concern for people with hearing loss, old or young, and a reason why some delay getting treatment and follow-up care. An article examining the insurance coverage — or lack thereof — for hearing aids would be much appreciated.
