Letter: A Life That Didn’t Survive
To the Editor:
All I can say about the loss of one of the Dartmouth College elms — the one in front of the Collis Center that was in your Jan. 3 photograph — is that I nodded to its magnificence thousands of times over the last 40 years. To me, its leafing-out in April meant that life itself had survived another winter.
