Lunch Visit at Harvest Hill

On Jan. 29, a group of Upper Valley preschoolers, ranging in age from 2 to 5, visited Jane A. Hammond, 102, at Harvest Hill retirement community at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital. The youngsters presented Hammond with a fleece blanket that they made as part of a learning unit about taking an active part in community service. After presenting the blanket, the children joined Hammond for lunch and were excited to hear that sloppy joes were on the menu. Shown with Hammond are (front row, left to right): Elizabeth Gifford, Stephen DeFelice, Hammond, Ailia Westgate and Alex Hoyt. Back row, left to right: Becky Hoyt, Ben Hoyt, Tammi DeFelice, Dominic DeFelice and Tereasa Westgate.
