Richard M. Ingersoll
West Lebanon, N.H. — Richard M. Ingersoll, 81, of West Lebanon, N.H., died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Wheelock Terrace in Hanover, N.H.
Richard was born May 1, 1932, in Gloucester, Mass., to Samuel and Mary (Anderson) Ingersoll. He graduated from Gloucester High School in 1950 and received his Master of Engineering & Science Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 1958, going on to work at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Conn., as a nuclear engineer working on aircraft engines. In the 1970’s he moved to Lansing, Mich., and worked at General Dynamics as the lead engineer. Upon retirement, Richard moved to West Lebanon, where he met his wife, Florence. They were married Sept. 20, 1997.
Richard was a member of the Rotary Club in Springfield, Vt. He served on the Outreach Board at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College, and was a member and Past President of the Upper Valley Hostel.
Richard was predeceased by his first wife, Alice; and is survived by his wife, Florence of West Lebanon; and six children, David Ingersoll and his wife, Susan, of Indianapolis, Ind., Donald Ingersoll, of Lebanon, Gregory Ingersoll and his wife, Kelly Mahony, of Derry, N.H., Richard Fuller, of N. Springfield, Vt., David Fuller and his wife, Candy, of Perkinsville, Vt., and Jackie Lampiasi and her husband, Santo, of Claremont, N.H.; fourteen grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
