William “Bill” Brock

Fort Pierce, Fla. — William “Bill” Brock, of 22 Villa del Norte, Fort Pierce died on Friday, March 22, 2013, in Weston, Fla. after a long battle with lung cancer. Bill retired after 20 years of driving truck as a Local 25 Teamster. Bill was born in Montpelier, Vt. on April 28, 1941, to Katherine Booth and Frederick Wellington Brock. Bill grew up in the Orford, Piermont, N.H. and Fairlee, Vt. area. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 18 and served six years. He spent the next 46 years living and working in Massachusetts. Bill had a great sense of humor and loved visiting with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores (Wood) Brock; a brother, John and his wife, Martha; his nephew, Justin Brock and his wife, Teshama; two cousins, Sarah Piper and Kate Jackson and her husband, John Hallock.

Bill never put himself first. He was always happy to please his family and friends. He loved to drive - short or long trips were constantly on his agenda. He had a great memory for places (routes) and people. He especially liked local history and hiking. After he retired he hiked several mountains with his two black labs.

A memorial service will be held in July at the Warren Methodist Church, Saturday July 20 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in Bill’s memory. Please check out his page at:
