Richard A. Brock
Goffstown, N.H. — Richard A. Brock, 82, died peacefully at home in Goffstown on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt. on Oct. 17, 1930, to Leonard and Agnes (Conant) Brock.
He graduated from Mount Hermon Preparatory School in Mount Hermon, Mass. in 1949, and went on to attend the University of Vermont in Burlington. After 32 years of service, he retired in 1992 from New England Power in Wilder, Vt., where Dick was the plant superintendent. He and his family spent many years living and then vacationing on Harvey’s Lake in West Barnet, Vt. Dick was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1952-1956 during the Korean Conflict.
Dick was a volunteer for the Goffstown Network in Goffstown and David’s House in Lebanon, N.H. He and his wife loved to travel and did so in this country and abroad. Dick also enjoyed photography.
Dick is survived by his loving wife Beverly (Gadapee); four children: Scott Brock of Seattle, Wash., Kathleen Rankhorn of Inverness, Ill., Karen Brock Amoah of Gaithersburg, Md., and Kim Mallon of Mansfield, Mass.; and many grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Dick was predeceased by brothers, Jack and Ham Brock; and sister, Alice Bridgetts Duncan.
