Daniel R. McBeth

Westfield, Mass. — Daniel R. McBeth, 58, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, in Baystate Medical Center from injuries he received from being hit by a car on Aug. 16. Daniel, the son of the late George H. and Yvette B. (Hebert) McBeth was born on May 3, 1955. Raised in Springfield, Mass., he lived most of his life there before relocating to Westfield several years ago. He worked for the Springfield School Department for many years until he was no longer able to work.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, Michael Martin.

Daniel loved to cook and was famous for his pea soup. He also loved to read and discuss books and take long walks. He was very happy to be able to walk pain free after having back surgery earlier this year. He loved his cat, Laptop.

He is survived by his brothers, Joseph McBeth of Northhampton, Mass., and George McBeth and his wife, Barbara of North Hartland, Vt.; and his sister, Mary Martin of Springfield. He is also survived by his niece, Katie Martin of Springfield, and his nephew, Andrew McBeth of North Hartland.

He will be missed by his many relatives and friends.

In accordance with his wishes no services will be held. A celebration of his life will be held on a date to be announced.
