Arnold M. Mace

Hartland, Vt. — Arnold M. Mace, 85, of Hartland died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in White River Junction, Vt. on Sept. 8, 1928, to Fred and Eva (Rule) Mace.

Arnold was predeceased by his wife Sylvia Mace to whom he was married for 54 years. Arnold is survived by his children and their spouses, Kelly (Richard) Paul, Brett (Kara) Mace and Christy (John) Frink, all of Hartland. Arnold is also survived by his brother, Forrest (Gladys) Mace of Lebanon; and sisters, Charlotte (Roy) Durkee of Thetford, Jessie (Vern) Miles of White River Junction and Joyce Davis of Barnet, Vt. Arnold is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brett Mace, Jr. of Ascutney, Brian Mace of Hartland, John Frink, Jr. of Hartland, Tyler Frink of Hartland, Nicole LaBarge of White River Junction, Kristin Paul of Hartland and Cody Mace of Hartland; along with four great-grandchildren, Hunter Frink of Cornish, Braxton Mace of Windsor, Colin Mace of Ascutney and Emma Frink of Cornish, who were the apples of his eye. Arnold was predeceased by brothers Fred Mace, Nathan Mace, Chester Mace and Gordon Mace as well as sisters Audrey Hadlock and Frances Mosher. Additionally he had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Arnold was a typical “Vermontah” who was a carpenter who could fix most anything and enjoyed his occasional ventures to Foxwoods casino.

In agreement with his wishes there will be no calling hours or services held.
