Frank W. Roman, Jr.
West Canaan, N.H. — Frank W. Roman, Jr., 85 of Goose Pond Road, West Canaan passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
He was born March 30, 1929, to the late Frank W. Roman, Sr. and Lydia Rancourt. He grew up in Lebanon, N.H. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in both the US Army and the Air Force. He retired from Dartmouth College where he worked as a custodian for 20 years. During his retirement years he lived with his good friends, Bob & Annette Stark in West Canaan.
Frank will be remembered by everyone who knew him as being very generous. He always had a good sense of humor and loved to have a good time with people. He always had a kind heart for animals. He considered his dog, Bear his best friend for many years.
He is survived by his children, Roxanne Rice of Lebanon, Kevin Jenks of Glens Falls, N.Y., Rod Jenks of Wilder, Vt., Cindy Jenks of Lebanon; and two sisters, Rose Hutchins of Lebanon and Mary Fish of Smyrna, Del.; as well as his sister-in-law, Adeline Marcott of Springfield, Vt.; a granddaughter, Jolene Rice; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Debbie Roman and four brothers, Armond Marcott, Eugene Marcott, Henry Marcott and Leonard Marcott and by two sisters, Doris Hill and Viola Marcott.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside memorial will be held on Tuesday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon.
