Joan Marie Johnson
Canaan, N.H. — Joan Marie Johnson, 53 of Canaan and a former resident of Rutland died Friday morning, March 28, 2014 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center following a long illness.
She was born in Rutland, Vt. the daughter of David and Eleanor (Reynolds) Delpha.
Mrs. Johnson graduated from the Rutland High School in 1979 and earned a MBA Degree from the College of St. Joseph.
She married Paul D. Johnson on June 29, 1996.
Mrs. Johnson had been employed as the Marketing and Sales Manager for the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College for several years prior to her retiring in 2008 due to her failing health.
She enjoyed crafting, reading, traveling, music, playing cards and her cat.
Mrs. Johnson was a volunteer for the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Vermont and New Hampshire.
Survivors include her husband Paul of Canaan; her parents of Rutland; two sisters Theresa Delpha of Livermore, Calif. and Patty Lozinski of Petersburgh, N.Y.; three brothers Thomas Delpha of Morristown , N.J., Michael Delpha of New Milford, Conn. and Chris Delpha of Windsor Locks, Conn.; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Delpha on April 27, 2010.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 5th at the Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main Street, Rutland, Vt. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the Funeral Home, with a reception to be announced.
