Letter: Don’t Blame the Republicans

To the Editor:

I know I’m wasting my time because loonie leftists never really listen. The Republicans are not responsible for the 15 percent of the government that’s been shut down. They have wanted all along to discuss Obamacare with President Obama. He won’t negotiate, but he says he’s willing to sit down and talk with them. How do you do that? He was willing to hold discussions with the Iranian president. To Obama and his followers, the Republicans are more dangerous. None of their beliefs are to be taken seriously until officials from murderous dictatorships are considered first.

Has anyone in the Upper Valley actually sat down to go over the 10,000-plus pages of Obamacare? I’ll listen to them. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said, “We need to pass the bill in order to know what’s in it.” The Republicans want to discuss what might or might not work and make changes accordingly. Be honest with yourself: Which side is working for you?

Republicans (or at least those Tea Partiers currently holding the party hostage) don’t want …
