Fairlee, Vt. — Laura Page, 86, (Known to friends and family as Mae) died Tuesday, March 6, 2013 at Brookside Nursing Home in White River Jct., Vt. after a brief illness.
Mae was born December 6, 1926 in Groton, Vt. the daughter of Herman and Ellen (Page) Williams. Mae married Horace page on May 13, 1944. They moved to Thetford, Vt. in 1945.
Mae worked as a housekeeper for numerous homeowners in the community until her retirement. She enjoyed travel, embroidery, work searches, playing cards and dominoes, along with watching her television shows.
She is survived by one daughter, Lois Page Clay and husband Wesley of North Thetford, Vt.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Lawrence Williams and wife, Gloria of Bradford, Vt. and one sister, Leona Goss Roberts of Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her husband in 1977 and her son, Everett Page in 1993, one sister, Lucille Gamble, one brother, Loren Williams, a half-sister, Isabelle DuPont, a half brother, Stanley Williams and a granddaughter Bethann Page Grace.
Graveside funeral services will be held in the spring in the family lot in the Post Mills Cemetery in Post Mills, Vt. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to their favorite charity.
