Vermont Technical College to Host ‘Try a Major Day’

Randolph Center, Vt. — Vermont Technical College will host “Try a Major Day” for high school sophomores and juniors April 18 on its Randolph Center and Williston campuses.

The VTC academic programs taking part in the event include aviation, diversified agriculture, engineering technology, IT and computer science, nursing and allied health, and veterinary technology, among others.

“This is not your typical ‘tour the campus day,’” Rosemary Distel, associate academic dean, said in a recent news release. “It’s a day when students will participate and interact with a major program they would like to try first-hand.”

The free program, set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on both campuses, includes lunch. To register, go to — Staff report
