Letter: Many Quality Restaurants in White River Junction

To the Editor:

I have just read the article regarding the Upper Valley Lanes and Games closure (“Thetford Man Wants to Buy, Reopen Hartford Bowling Alley,” Aug. 17), and it so aggravates me to read about people coming into the area wanting to take over a business that has closed without knowing anything about the town itself.

For Mr. Rampersaud to say that White River Junction does not have any “quality restaurants” is just not true; he obviously has not eaten in this town.

Elixir is probably one of the top, if not the top, restaurant in the Upper Valley. The Tuckerbox is wonderful, and so are several other restaurants in downtown White River Junction, all serving different fare with various price ranges.

If you want to come into White River Junction, that is fine, but at least educate yourself about what the town has to offer.
