Robert Christensen, of Thetford Center, has joined Ledyard National Bank as a vice president and commercial relationship manager. He will be responsible for business development and management of commercial banking accounts in the Upper Valley. Prior to joining Ledyard, Christensen served as vice president and commercial loan officer at People’s United Bank in White River Junction for four years. Before that, he was the associate director of real estate at Dartmouth College. Christensen holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Michael’s College and a master’s degree in business administration from Pennsylvania State University.

Kevin De Rosa, of Claremont, has joined Ledyard National Bank as assistant vice president and banking office manager at its Norwich office. De Rosa has two years of banking experience and three additional years in retail management. His responsibilities have included operations management, sales planning, associate development and career planning. Prior to joining Ledyard, De Rosa was the manager of Bank of America’s Hanover branch. De Rosa earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire where he also earned his bachelor’s degree.

Jason Achmoody, vice president and commercial relationship manager at Ledyard National Bank, recently completed the certified commercial loan officer program, sponsored by the Independent Community Bankers of America. The national commercial loan certification program is designed to prepare community bankers to address business lending issues including financial statement analysis, industry analysis, management analysis and individual business analysis. The weeklong training was held in Scottsdale, Ariz., and required all participants to perform a case study and certification examinations.

Rhonda Walz, of Sharon, and Tina Meagher, of Hartland, senior tax advisers at the H&R Block branch in Lebanon, have passed the registered tax return preparer exam, which was administered in August in Williston, Vt. Walz holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Franklin Pierce College and has 11 years of experience preparing tax returns with H&R Block. Meagher has been a small-business owner since 1980 and has 11 years of experience preparing tax returns with H&R Block. Both have logged more than 500 certification hours. Registered tax return preparers must pass an IRS test establishing minimal competency and complete 15 hours of continuing education each year.

John Souther, of Hanover, a financial adviser with the Hanover Group at Morgan Stanley, was recently designated an investment management consultant by Morgan Stanley’s Consulting Group. As a partner of The Hanover Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Souther offers management and consulting services to individuals, families, corporate retirement plans, institutions and endowments. Souther holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., and is a designated chartered financial analyst and certified financial planner. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the Boston Security Analysts Society, the Financial Planning Association and the Association of Professional Investment Consultants.

Denel L. McIntire, of Woodstock, has been promoted to store manager of the two TD Bank locations in Woodstock. As an assistant vice president, McIntire is responsible for new business development, consumer and business lending, managing personnel and overseeing the day-to-day operations at the bank locations. He has five years of experience in retail banking and is experienced in loan underwriting, mortgage processing and finance. He joined TD Bank in 2007 as a teller and later served as a customer service representative and then financial services representative. McIntire is a member of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and serves on the boards of the Ottauquechee Community Partnership. He also serves as treasurer for Bridgewater VAST Trails and is a part-time Woodstock police officer. In addition, McIntire volunteers with the Winter Special Olympics and Covered Bridges Half Marathon, and on the Marketing Committee for the Quechee Balloon Festival. A 2006 graduate of Woodstock Union High School, he is attending Community College of Vermont in Wilder.
