VINS Names New Board Member

Quechee — Cathy Smith Hybels, of Norwich, has joined the Vermont Institute of Natural Science board of trustees.

In a recent news release, VINS said Hybels’ “extensive experience in human resource management, as a consultant, and in the nonprofit world” will help guide them in the coming years.

Since 2010, Hybels and her son Justin have volunteered in the VINS Wildlife Services department, helping to feed orphaned and injured baby songbirds during the summer months.

Hybels is a co-founder and research consultant at Leadership In Medicine Inc., a medical marketing research firm based in Wilder. She holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree and a doctorate in human resources management from Cornell University. She is a member of the Vermont Developmental Disabilities Council and has been active with High Horses Therapeutic Riding Program in Wilder, most recently as an outcomes evaluation consultant.
