Upper Valley Music Center Receives Grant of $10,000
Lebanon — The Upper Valley Music Center recently received a $10,000 grant from the Lane and Elizabeth C. Dwinell Charitable Trust. Half of the money will support financial aid for music center students who live in Lebanon. The remainder will help pay the salary of the nonprofit’s part-time executive director.
“We hope the Dwinell Trust grant will encourage more Lebanon children and adults to study with us and join our ensembles,” music center President Louis Cornell said in a recent news release.
Financial aid is available for students in need who have demonstrated an “exceptional commitment to the study of music,” the music center said in the release.
The center, which has about 500 students, offers voice and instrumental lessons, youth choruses, and orchestras for musicians of all ages and experience levels. For more information, go to www.uvmusic.org. — Staff report
