James Jeffrey Sturtevant
Lyme, N.H. — James Jeffrey Sturtevant passed away peacefully at the age of 22 at his home in Lyme with his mother, Terry Lessard by his side on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013.
James was born on June 7, 1991, at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, N.H. James has fought all of his life from the day he was born. James suffered from adrenoleaukodystrophy.
James brought love and laughter to everyone who knew him and introduced him to Sarah his monkey. James enjoyed volunteering delivering the mail at Crotched Mountain in Greenfield, N.H.
James was predeceased by his maternal grandparents George and Joyce Carr and his paternal grandfather Harry Sturtevant.
James is survived by his mother and stepfather, Terry and Dennis Lessard of Claremont, N.H.; his father, Jeffrey Sturtevant of Dover, N.H.; two step-sisters, Allison Lessard of White River Jct., Vt. and Jennifer and her husband, Chris Kendall; and a niece and nephew of Claremont; his paternal grandmother, Ethel Sturtevant of Sanbornville, N.H. and Lillian Chapman of Dover, N.H; Mark Carr (Unk) of Canaan, N.H.; his uncle, George Carr of Lewiston, Maine; his aunt, Nora and her husband, Tim Boisvert of Grafton, N.H.; aunt, Sherry and her husband, Robert Penn of Canaan and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
James’s mother is requesting that everyone wears light blue at the funeral to represent his favorite color.
Terry would like to thank Crotched Mountain Rehab and Pathways for the wonderful care and friendships over the years.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, N.H. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at 10 a.m.
