Margaret “Peggy” Eaton
Woodstock, Vt. — Margaret “Peggy” Eaton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She was 69. A longtime resident of Woodstock, Peggy was well known in the area for her successful Dog Grooming and Pet Store. Her love for all animals, especially her dogs, was only surpassed by the love she held in her heart for her family and friends. Peggy could also be found bringing a smile to staff and students in the cafeteria at the Woodstock High School and more recently talking and laughing with the locals while working at Maple Leaf Farm.
Peggy was a very generous and outgoing person and also enjoyed reading, baking, quilting, gardening, playing bingo and going to yard sales.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Harold D. Eaton of Woodstock; her five children, Charles “Joe” Fraser and his wife, Colleen of Pensacola, Fla., Tammy Christian of Woodstock, Stephen Christian of Brattleboro, Vt., Alison Pearsons and her husband, Jeffrey of Brownsville, Vt., Harold E. Eaton and his wife, Shannon of Woodstock; sixteen grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; two brothers, Kit Patrick Fraser and Peter Fraser; four sisters, Joan Morrett, Mary Lee Peters, Victoria Kanzinger and Cathy Jo Ewanciw; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, and one brother.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
