Alyce R. Bump
Claremont, N.H. — Alyce R. Bump, 88, of Sunset Street in Claremont, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont following a period of failing health. She was born in Hillsdale, N.Y. on December 11, 1924 the daughter of Francis and Edna McDowell and had been a longtime Claremont resident. Alyce had been employed as a billing clerk by the Claremont & Concord Railroad. She later worked as a nurse’s aide at Sullivan County Healthcare and more recently she was employed by Pathway’s in Claremont, retiring in September of 2012. Alyce enjoyed reading and in earlier times, driving her red Lincoln. She was the widow of Harley E. “Pete” Bump who died in 1982. Members of her family include a son; Michael Bump, Claremont; a daughter, Janice Coleman, Bangor, Maine; four grandchildren, and her beloved dog; Jett. Friends may call at the Roy Funeral Home on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a time of visitation and sharing.
