In Awe of Ice in Hanover

Dartmouth student Gianna Guarino, of Winthrop, Mass., second from right, looks in awe with friend Lauren Dahlberg-Seeth, right, at the progress made by ice sculptor Murray Long since she passed by in Hanover earlier yesterday. While just beginning around noon, Long helped Guarino thaw out her bicycle lock with one of his torches, and five hours later he was nearing completion of his second sculpture for the Dartmouth Winter Carnival.
