Brownington, Vt. — Vanessa Palmieri of Brownington, formerly of St. Johnsbury, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, Nov. 29, 2012, at the age of 52.
She was born Nov. 28, 1960, in Bangor, Maine, the youngest of five children born to Marco and Charlotte (Page) Palmieri. She was predeceased by her oldest brother Richard.
Vanessa made her home in Brownington with her caretaker Brigette Moulton. The Moulton family came to be her extended family as well as her respite friend Carole Durfee. Vanessa received her education at The Living Arts Center on Cherry St. in St. Johnsbury and was very proud to have attended St. Johnsbury Academy, as she said, just like her brother Mark. Her brothers have fond memories of her bowling with her Dad at Gold Crown Lanes, them going to church together, and taking rides with her mother.
Vanessa will be fondly remembered by her brothers as a good sister. Joe and Mark will miss their rides together.
She is survived by three brothers: Gary Palmieri and wife, Mary Ellen of Mansfield, Mass., Joe Palmieri and his wife, Susan of Lyndonville, Mark Palmieri and wife, Carol of Waterford; her nieces and nephews: Richard’s children, Sandra and Amy; Gary’s children, Stacey, Tammy, Gary, Ryan, Nicholas, and Jason; Joe’s children, Lee and Christie; and Mark’s children, Aaron, Marla, Dana, Lindsey, and Tony.
