Claremont — Elissa Parent and Steven Kellner were married on Feb. 11, 2017, at Saint Mary’s Church in Claremont.
Father Shawn Therrien officiated at the ceremony. Kathleen Parent was the maid of honor. Amanda Yates, Bethany Miller, Caitlin Hamrin and Jessica Kellner were the bridesmaids. The best man was John Kellner Jr. Andrew Parent, B.J. Rice, Danielle Olmo and Matthew Johnson were the ushers. Aubrey Phelps was the flower girl and Henry Yates was the ring bearer.
Kathleen Parent, the bride’s sister and maid of honor, sung “You Are Mine” by David Hass as the communion meditation during the wedding Mass. The bride’s father escorted her down the aisle. It was a snowy day, and the bride and bridesmaids wore antique furs that were borrowed from family members and close friends. The bride wore her grandmother’s pearls and the bridegroom carried his grandfather’s pocket watch and cufflinks belonging to the bride’s grandfather. The reception was held at the Common Man in Claremont.
The bride is the daughter of Lori and Roger Parent, of Brownsville. She graduated from The Sharon Academy in 2008 and earned a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature at Barnard College, Columbia University, in New York City in 2012. She is employed as a logistics associate at Bio X Cell in West Lebanon.
The bridegroom is the son Kathleen and John Kellner, of Alden, N.Y. He gradutated from Bishop Timon High School (now known as Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School) in South Buffalo, N.Y., in 1997 and attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn. He is employed as the executive chef at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor.
The couple honeymooned in Quebec City and live in West Windsor.
