League: Vermont Division I.

Roster: Senior — Maple Moore; Juniors — Joseph Gallant, Kara Robinson; Sophomores: Connor Fredholm, Nara Gallagher; Freshman: Chloe Roger.

Analysis: Kaplan brings a lifetime of competitive bowling. The Canes should be competitive statewide.

“I’m looking forward to the season and developing my coaching skills with an amazing group of bowlers,” Kaplan said. “We’re going to build on technique while cultivating a supportive and fun team environment.”

Returnees: Junior — Conner Hurdle; Sophomores — Andrew Vanesse, Bennett Hanson; Freshmen — Brenden Therrien, Dahna LaGrange; Eighth Grade — Andrew Bradley.

Newcomers: Freshman — Devlin Sargeant. Eighth Grade — Aguer Akot. Seventh Grade — Danny Darling-Salls; Sixth Grade — August Schult, Casey Bradley.

Analysis: The Wildcats did not graduate anyone this year. This has Martin expecting big things this year.

WINDSOR

Coach: Steve Bly (12)

Last year: Lost in state quarterfinals.

Returnees: Seniors — Avery Bean, Victoria Fieckert; Sophomore — Roxie Sherwin.

Newcomers: Junior — Rowen Sheffield; Freshmen — Sam Russell, Ben Miller.

Analysis: Senior Avery Bean leads what is a young and relatively inexperienced team. However, Bean and St. Louis each qualified for last season’s individual state tournament.

“I expect us to come out slow,” said Bly. “However, early indications at practice show the younger bowlers are eager to learn. I’m confident we’ll be running on all cylinders come playoff time.”
