HUDSON, N.H. — After winning last week’s NHIAA Division II cross country championship, the Hanover High girls easily won made it two titles over two Saturdays, winning the NHIAA Meet of Champions at Alvrine High School.

The Bears finished with 86 points followed by Bedford at 128 and Pinkerton at 145.

For the boys, Lebanon finished fourth, with the Raiders’ Birhanu Harriman — the boys individual champion at D-IIs last week — getting nipped at the line by Gilford’s Patrick Gandini, whose time of 15:05.2 caught Harriman by just two one-hundredths of a second. The Hanover boys were seventh as a team.

Freshman Lea Perreard led the Hanover girls with an 11th-place finish (19:26). Also scoring for the Bears among the 131 runners were Lila Muirhead (22nd, 20:03), Matlida Monroe (25th 20:17), Maria Anderson (27th, 20:21) and Megan Faris (32, 20:45). Lebanon’s Isabella Hastings finished 17th in 19:50. The Raiders did not have enough runners for a team score.

Thomas Wolfe finished seventh for Lebanon (16:07) among 147 runners. Other area competitors from the Upper Valley included Mascoma’s Gunner Currier (36th, 17:10), Hanover’s Ryan Faris (44th, 17:16) and Will Parker (53rd, 17:29), Lebanon’s Angus Hall (55th, 17:31) and Hanover’s Mack Levy (60th, 17:37).

Boys team scores: Coe-Brown 70, Souhegan 97, Pinkerton 128, Lebanon 168, Nashua South 184, Windham 189, Hanover 195, Concord 218, Bishop Guertin 249, Winnacunnet 259; Mascoma, no score.

Girls team scores: Hanover 86, Bedford 128, Pinkerton, 145, Winnacunnet 151, Oyster River 169, Dover 186, Keene 223, Souhegan 245, Mascenic Regional 252, Conant 258.
