Canaan, NH — Charles “Chuck” Joseph Wallace passed away on October 31, 2018. He was born May 19, 1955 in New London, NH. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifton S. and Marie L. Wallace Van de Bogart, brother Leon Wallace, and sister Mary Moulton Pillsbury.

He attended Enfield/Canaan schools and was an avid fisherman, hunter, enjoying all aspects of the outerdoors. His family and all that were close to him, knew him to be a man with a friendly, happy spirit, kind, always willing to lend a helping hand and his love of life. He worked locally most of his life as a carpenter and as he often said, jack of all trades and master of none. If Chuck borrowed parts, forgot to return tools, promised venison or if you need someone to cut down a tree or mend your roof, you will find him in heaven, his old baseball cap askew, fish hook caught in its brim, probably retelling a story of the buck that got away or the huge fish he caught that day.

Chuck is survived by his wife Danielle of Canaan, his daughter Alicia Wallace, the pride of his life, of Lempster, NH, her partner Scott, his three grandchildren, Brittney, Eva and Jeremy, two step-sons, Michael Lecuyer, wife Jennie, Matthew Lecuyer, wife Erin and several step-grandchildren, brothers William Wallace, wife Carole of Thornton NH, George Wallace, wife Maxine of Lebanon NH, Stanley Wallace, wife Dorie of Canaan, sisters Martha Tupper, husband David of Clearwater Fla., Betty McCubbin, husband Jim of Claremont NH and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a sharing of Chuck’s life for family and friends at the Old Meeting House, Canaan Center, Canaan, NH, Saturday, November 10th, 1pm -3:00 pm. Donations may be made to a charity of choice or to Smith Pond, trails and kayak waterways of Enfield NH.
