Perkinsville — Weathersfield police are investigating after a woman in her 60s was found dead outside of a residence in Perkinsville on Tuesday morning.

Weathersfield Police Chief William Daniels said this afternoon that his agency and the Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating an “untimely death.”

An autopsy is pending. The woman’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, Daniels said.

He said her death is not considered suspicious and there is no threat to the public.

The woman’s body was discovered outside of the back of the residence by someone delivering fuel, he said.

It’s unclear how long she had been outside.
