Budgets and other spending articles: The proposed operating budget is $917,000, with $808,000 to be raise from taxes. Voters approved a budget of $871,000 last year. There also is a requested appropriation of $82,500 for the West Fairlee Volunteer Fire Department, which is up from $66,000 last year.

When, where and how to vote: The floor meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m. in the Community Building. Australian ballot voting for officers and the budget is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Community Building.
