Impromptu cleanup in Hartford Village

Linda Campbell did not intend to spend three hours sweeping the sidewalk and street-side parking spaces of leaves and debris in Hartford Village, where she lives, on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023. A member of the Hartford Garden Club, she came to the village to pick up planters for winter storage. “The whole place was a mess and I couldn’t stand it, so I decided to clean it up,” she said.
