QUECHEE — A meeting planned for Thursday night to discuss the planned renovation of the Quechee Gorge bridge has been postponed as state Transportation officials respond to flooding.

No new date or time has been set, but once it is, it will be posted on the project’s website, the Agency of Transportation, or VTrans, said in a news release.

Contractors will begin staging at the project site next week, parking equipment at the northwest corner of the bridge, which carries Route 4 over the gorge. The $19.1 million project is expected to take until 2026 to complete, with construction stopped in the winter months.
