Royalton — The Vermont State Police is asking for the public’s help to find a missing 19-year-old Royalton man.

Austin Colson was last seen leaving his home at 11 a.m. on Thursday. He was wearing blue jeans, Chippewa boots, a camouflage hooded jacket and white baseball cap with “A&C Painting” lettered in black, according to a state police news release.

Colson has brown hair, brown eyes and stands at 5-feet-eight-inches tall. He does have a cell phone but it was turned off on Saturday, police said. His direction of travel is unknown.

Police said foul play is not suspected in Colson’s disappearance but “there are concerns for Austin’s welfare.”

Anyone with information on Colson is being asked to call the Vermont State Police Royalton barracks at 802-234-9933. People can also send an anonymous tip by sending a text to “crimes” or 274637.
