Geoff Hansen is the Valley News photo editor, a position he has held since 1998; he was hired as a staff photographer in 1989. Geoff began his newspaper career in high school as a sportswriter for the Brandon Valley Reporter in Brandon, S.D. He later studied photojournalism at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and had internships in Kalamazoo, Mich., and Quincy, Mass. He can be reached at ghansen@vnews.com.
After attending Endicott College and Rhode Island School of Photography, Chief Photographer Jennifer Hauck worked for numerous newspapers in the Boston area. She started freelancing for the Valley News in the early 1990s and was hired full time in 1995. Alex Driehaus joined the Valley News photo staff in 2021 through Report for America, an initiative of the 501(c)3 nonprofit The GroundTruth Project, which has placed hundreds of journalists in local newsrooms across the country. Before moving to the Upper Valley, Driehaus was a staff photographer at the Naples Daily News in Southwest Florida. She is a 2017 graduate of Ohio University’s School of Visual Communication.
