Only one is selected in Vermont annually and this year Stacey Boyle, of Windsor, was awarded the coveted honor.

Boyle, the occupancy manager of the Union Square Apartments affordable housing complex in Windsor, was bestowed last week the Vermont Family Manager of the Year Award by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development agency in recognition of her care and dedication to the site’s tenants.

The award honors “a site manager in Vermont who goes above and beyond to improve the quality of life on one of the properties supported” by the USDA Rural Development agency, according to Stewart Property Management, which manages the 85-unit Union Square Apartments on behalf of Housing Vermont and Windham & Windsor Housing Trust.

Boyle, a graduate of Springfield High School and a Windsor resident, joined Steward Property Management in 2013. She previously worked at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Melissa Ellstein has joined Nathan Wechsler & Co. as the office manager of the firm’s Lebanon offices.

Ellstein, of Canaan, will handle bookkeeping as well as perform general office and business management duties, said the regional accounting firm in a news release.

She was previously office manager at Baker Orthodontics in Hanover.
