LEBANON — Lebanon High’s Summer Crowell scored twice and Lindsey Stark, Norah Burns, Abigail Gallagher, Mackenzie Ray and Sophia Salo also tallied Thursday in a 7-1 field hockey defeat of NHIAA Division II foe Sanborn.

“We started to see open space and go into it to receive passes,” said Lebanon coach Amanda Valliere, whose team bounced back from a 7-1 loss to visiting Hartford on Tuesday. “We were thinking about the next move. We have fast forwards who can break through a defense, but it seems like we then have a hard time making a pass around the goalie.”

The Raiders were denied on three penalty strokes, two by Stark and one by Harper Rancourt. Regardless, Lebanon improved to 2-4-0 while dropping Sanborn to 0-5-0.

Lebanon, which snapped a three-game losing streak, visits Pembroke on Sept. 22.
