Softball

Thetford 19, Windsor 18

Key players: Thetford — Eiea Morgan, Paige Tremblay, Mckayla Stanley, Natalie Perry, Grace Elmer; Windsor — Mackenzie Kleefisch

Highlights: Thetford’s Eiea Morgan went 4-for-4 at the plate, walking once and reaching base five times to lead the Panthers to victory. Morgan collected three RBIs on the day. Tremblay led the Panthers with five RBIs and went 2-for-3. Stanley was the winning pitcher, allowing six earned runs, five strikeouts and 12 walks through seven innings.Perry went 2-for-4 at the plate for Thetford, and Elmer drew four walks, hit a huge double and collected four RBIs.
Windsor’s batting was on fire, scoring three runs each in the first and second inning. The Yellowjackets had seven of their starters each get at least one hit in the outing and 10 RBIs on the day for the team.

Highlights: Mazie Bourgeois hit two home runs and drove in four in the win for the Olympians. Anastase Bourgeois struck out 14 batters on the day. The righty also allowed two hits and one run over five innings while walking none.

Baseball

Rivendell 6, Twin Valley 1

Key players: Rivendell — Parker Piper, Braydan Larson, Christian Ditcheos, Bryson Morgan

Highlights: Piper pitched a complete game with 12 strikeouts, one hit and one unearned run. The hit off Piper came with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Larson was 2-for-3, Dicheos was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Morgan 1-for-1 and two RBIs, his first varsity hit as an eighth-grader.

Highlights: Audrey Rupp (six goals, two assists), Maddie Barwood (seven goals, four assists), Emma Bazin (two goals), Paisley Danaher (one assist) powered the Hurricanes to a season-opening win. Standout defense by Izzy Sirois and Martha Crasper aided the effort.
